Best High School Memory: Her time spent running cross country was her fondest memory from high school. She met her best friend in cross country and is still very close with her. “I loved being a part of something…it’s always a great group.”

Best Thing to do on a Rainy Day: She would watch the rain, especially the thunderstorms. “I'd open the windows or go outside, under cover of course, and just watch and listen.”
Free Time Activities: Hampton enjoys running, yoga, swimming, and playing with her children.
Favorite T.V. Show: Orange is the New Black
Favorite Movie: Toy Soldiers
How Apex Compares to Other Schools: Hampton loves Apex High. “I’ve been to other places and this is the only place that I’ve come back to. It just feels like home.”
Teaching Style: “Coach Thomas shared a great quote: ‘They don't care what you know until they know you care,’” said Hampton. She hopes that her students know that she cares about them by building a rapport and letting them think for themselves.
